A complex beer tasting of dark chocolate, coffee & whisky, all balanced by a soft bitterness & that superb barrel-aged flavour.
This beer was crafted with Maris Otter, Roasted Barley, Biscuit, Brown, Chocolate, Crystal & Special B Malts, Northern Brewer & EKG Hops.
Cask 2631 - has been aged for just under 4 years in a single 200L ex Bourbon cask, before being finished in two 100L Stout casks from Beer Fontaine.
Expect notes of fruit cake, coffee, mocha, stout, cherry cola, grapefruit peel, raisin and Christmas spices with a lingering dark chocolate finish.
Bottled at Cask Strength to retain its full character.
